Scholarship Deadline Approaching

Hello fellow blog followers!

Now that the excitement of the Creative Arts Competition is winding down and we're getting closer to the scholarship deadlines I wanted to be sure to let you all know where to find the applications!

http://www.maryvillecollege.edu/admissions/finaid/forms.asp

Make sure that you know that you can apply for as many scholarships as you're eligible for! And also remember that some awards actually STACK on top of the big scholarships! This is the best time to be filling out the scholarship applications if you haven't already.

Also...don't forget that your enrollment deposit is refundable by May 1st so if you haven't already submitted that...now would be a good time for that as well.

While you're thinking about all the financial aid stuff for all colleges also be sure to fill out the FAFSA (Free Application For Student Aid) in order to be eligible for need-based money. The sooner you fill it out the better!

On an unfortunate note...the Meet Maryville scheduled for January 30th has been canceled because of the inclement weather that they are predicting. We have not decided whether or not we are going to reschedule the Meet Maryville but students are encouraged to still come visit campus! There are several Saturday Visits that are coming up as well and it will give students a very similar experience. The next Saturday Visit that is coming up is the one on February 13th.

There are a lot of exciting things happening around Maryville right now. Be sure to contact your admissions advisor with any questions that you may have. Remember...there is no application deadline for admission! Even if you haven't started the application...there is still time to submit one and get accepted.

We always look forward to receiving your applications!!

It's a BUSY time at Maryville College and YOU should join in the fun!

Hello all!

We have lots of things going on at MC within the next few weeks and I hope you will be a part of them!

This Saturday, January 23, we are hosting our
Creative Arts Competition! Some of our best, brightest, and most talented prospective music and theatre major students will be auditioning (in the BRAND NEW Clayton Centor for the Arts, I might add!) for a full-tuition scholarship!

Next Saturday, January 30, we will have 2 more events for prospective students. The first is
Meet Maryville, our open house. Registration will start at 8:30AM and the program will begin at 9:00AM. Parents and students alike are welcome! Please contact your Admissions Advisor if you are interested in attending. We love any opportunity to meet new students or "put faces" with names and personalities we already know well!

Also next Saturday, January 30, is
Minority Recruitment Weekend. The events will begin after Meet Maryville at 3:00PM in Bartlett Hall. Parents and prospective students are welcome to attend this event as well! The schedule is jam-packed with activities! So, please contact your Admissions Advisor if you are interested!

As if the next couple of weekends are not going to be fun enough,
all Maryville College scholarship and award applications will be due by Monday, February 1! All of our scholarships and awards for the 2010-2011 school year are listed on the website just waiting for you to download!

Whew! I'm exhausted just writing about all of the exciting things that are coming up! Anyway, I hope your semester is going well and I hope to see you on campus sometime soon!

Sincerely,
