What To Do When You Graduate

So I know that our blogs should be geared toward incoming freshman and all...but I just think this is so cool!

One of the guys I went to school with (he just graduated in May as well) started this non-profit organization that I think is awesome. You can read more about it on Blount Today's website! They call their business "In The Bag Delivers"

If I'm not mistaken he was also a Bonner and I believe that's why he decided to continue with the non-profit route! I love it :) It's so much fun to see where Maryville College students take their lives.

As far as other stuff for Seniors/Incoming Freshman??? Have you gotten your financial aid packages?! They've started to go out so make sure that you have filled out the FAFSA and been accepted and you should get your financial aid package in the mail and in your e-mail. Our advisors are going through each package with the students but since each of us have several students it may take us a while to get to you. I know I'm doing my calls alphabetically and I'm only on "C". So if you'd like to go over your financial aid package with your advisor over the phone please feel free to call us during the day and we would be more than happy to do that for you!

Hope you all are having a great senior year. See you on campus soon!

Hello all!

If you are on Spring Break this week I hope it was fantastic! MC students and faculty have been on Spring Break as well. So, it's been a bit quiet around here. However, we have already had several juniors come to visit and we could not be more excited about it! We love meeting new students who are just as excited as we are about starting their journey as a Maryville College Scot!

As Arielle mentioned last week, we have a BRAND NEW application available on the website: http://www.maryvillecollege.edu/! It is pretty simple and takes very little time at all to finish! Since its debut last week, many of your applications have started to pour in! We still have some scholarship money available, so apply now!

For those of you who have already been accepted:
1. Please fill out your FAFSA and send it to us! Our code is 003505.
2. Once we have your FAFSA we can provide you with a financial aid package. This will come to you as an email. Just click on the link! You can accept all of your MC scholarships, awards, grants, and loans right there! The financial aid website has everything you need to know. But if you have questions, please don't hesitate to call us in the Admissions Office at 865-981-8092 or 1-800-59SCOTS.
3. Attend our third and final Admitted Student Day for this year! It's on Monday, March 29. Your day will begin in the Admissions Suite in Fayerweather Hall at 10:45AM . At 11:00AM all admitted students will take a tour of campus with current MC student ambassadors leading the way. At noon, you can eat lunch with some currents students as well. Lastly, at 1:00PM you will be able to attend a class. Please call your Admissions Advisor if you are interested!

Financial Aid Packages

One of the most important steps to finding the right school can often be the most confusing part as well. That step is financial aid. Financial aid packages for students started going out the beginning of this week. The financail aid office has done an excellent job of getting the packages out early. The Admssions team has started contacting those students who have been packaged so if you have not heard from us yet... you will!!!!! There are a few ways to make this process run smoothly for both ends:
1. Read- Yes you should read everything on the MC financial aid page not just what rewards and money you recieved. There is a ton of helpful information on that page that might answer some of your quesions before we call.
2. Be prepared- Fill out the Cost Worksheet that is available on that page and save it. We are going to have you fill it out anyways so you might as well have it ready.
3. Talk- Talk about your options with your family. We have several different payment options to make the MC experience very affordable.
